LatineLit publishes original short fiction by and about Latine / Latinx communities. We are interested in stories that reflect depth, complexity, and lived experience across cultures, regions, and identities.

How much do you pay?
We pay $100 per accepted story (typically via PayPal, Zelle, or similar).
Submission fees: None.
What is the preferred length for submissions?
Stories should generally be under 6,000 words. Longer works are rarely considered.
What file formats are accepted?
Submissions must be uploaded as Word documents (.doc or .docx) or as Google Docs files that can be downloaded or edited. We are unable to review submissions hosted on other platforms.
Please create a document with 1 inch margins, 12 point Times Roman font with double spacing.
Should submissions be finished and polished?
Yes. Only complete, revised work should be submitted. We do not review works in progress.
What are the rights if you publish my work?
Authors retain copyright.
LatineLit requests first publication rights only.
Stories remain on the site for an indefinite period of time.
